Commented as fake? The items differ from standard offered in Coleman website or other retail outlet

We've had very good experiences with Coleman tents, this seems like a good deal. Especially like their easy up tents, which this is not.

Yeah, I think the description is wrong in this listing and this is just the normal one.

This does seem to be one of their instant models based on description, but if you see the pics the pre attached poles are not there, this has regular ones.

Horrible reviews

As do most tents, mainly because vast majority don't know how to properly set one up. Reviews complaining about leaks specifically can almost universally be disregarded.

That's right, what's on the deal right now is not an instant tent.

Not this one. Look at the separate tent poles.

The average rating is 2.X stars and nearly all the 1 star reviews are for leaks. When they show pictures of QC issues with gaps in the seams, it's most likely a mfr QC issue rather than a setup issue. The design of the adverse Coleman brand rain fly guarantees exposure of the tent body to wind and rain. It's not hard to imagine Coleman screwed up and the reviews are accurate.

Coleman isn't what they used to be and they're riding their former reputation. They turned into a Walmart-tier brand and it's kind of sad. I've returned 2 of their tents and 2 of their coolers over the last few years. Better quality options exist for a similar price when they're on sale. I prefer to buy something that will last and this rent doesn't appear to fit that description.

Like I said, generally you can disregard leak complaints. Where are these reviews?
