more grams of added sugar than protein in these "protein" bars. But, fwiw, this coupon applies to a slew of Kind bars/products:

If you want to use the 30% coupon on a larger amount you can also get the five pack of boxes for the same price. For example five Peanut Butter are $14.59 / $2.92 a box.

Soy protein isolate. Ugh. Way better protein sources out there. But this is cheap. Usually the cheap stuff has whey or soy in it.

5 grams of protein for 220 calories is atrocious for being called a protein bar. That's for the peanut butter bar.

Sugar = added sugar. The body doesn't know (neither do you) nor care if it was "added" or just there naturally. The body processes the chemical the same.

Type of sugar and amount of sugar (in relation to your diet) is important though. The "added" part is meaningless*.

*It can be telltale sign / redflag of manufacturing shortcuts and junk ingredients, but not always nor does the lack of added sugar suddenly make a healthier product.

BTW, apples have 2-3 times the sugar of any of those bars. Wonder if your tummy / glucose meter knows if God or Todd added the C12 H22 O11 Wink

What would you propose that they use instead?

Anything other than machine oil? Lol

Coconut, Avocado, hell even Palm oil is better.
