It's not. The Karcher is better. Obsessed Garage tested a bunch of these entry level pressure washers and found the manufacturer specs are bs. They never match the stated specs so you can't go by that.

The Karcher lived up to its rating more than the others and it's well built. It's the best you're going to find for a hundred bucks.

Looks like a marketing piece and what are the comparison units. Greenwork and Westinghouse are both well known brand with better spec.

That's all I know

Is this an actual named brand?
Yes it is. I had Karcher pressure washer while I was living in Europe several years ago. Smaller than this one. They are OK.

Why is the 3050 better if everyone recommends the Karcher 1700?

I had one of these, pretty much the same model and got an extended warranty and it started leaking oil after the warranty ended, then died. YGWYPF but it was cheap and did a pretty good job while alive.

Not a marketing piece, obsessed garage is a great source of information, they are recommending this from actual testing, not just testing specs online

Good website to compare pressure washers: https://pressurewasherdb.com/products/
Project Farm tested PW's <$200 on 06/2024 -PF is a great YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pu6lfzM9iJ8
I'm not the PW Sensei, but understanding is that "Cleaning Units" should be used to compare PW's (not gpm).
FWIW, just replaced my SunJoe SPX3000 after 6yrs -was $50 off (paid $150 during Amazon Spring Sale,), only $15 more than last one.
Karcher hose is only 20' long -like for most electric PW's, not enough and you'll probably want to add to that. I bought another 25' for my SPX3000, and the reasonable 6yrs service of my original SPX3000 and being able to reuse the hose is why I bought another one to replace it.
