This was my very first kit and hooked me into ridgid tools. FYI on amazon you can get an adapter that makes your ridgid batteries work with ryobi tools.

I use mostly ridgid stuff and an occasional cheapie ryobi tool. Sometimes you get em on sale same price as harbor freight tools so if you need em but only once every year or so why not.

For higher end tools I just stick with corded and buy whatever brand makes the best of that particular thing.

kicking around the idea about getting some better gear, but not sure I want to spend the money after those in Washington pushing that all the companies use a single battery style.
