This is more comparable with the PB 1000 pro, which also has the same app, but you would need to buy used to get to this price.

IMO the app is overrated unless you are constantly changing the sound profile, but most sub users "set it and forget it", so not worth much for most.

I think it is. The lowest I've seen was $529. This is a great sub...I have 2 in my living room.

When is the 14" worth getting over this? Like actual theatre room area?

i have 2 of the intro level klipsch 12s and never thought i needed To upgrade, and then I read a post saying that they're too punchy and I now see what they're saying ☠️ I should have just let it be.

Is this at all comparable to the SVS SB-1000 Pro? It's $499 when it goes on sale by I like it because you can change the settings with an app on your phone

I'm in a wheelchair and live in an apartment, so I will be changing it all the time sadly. I may want to rock out and it's 12pm so the neighbors can suck it. But at 8 or 9pm I'll want to curb the thump. Same as if a really bassy song comes on, I'll want to turn it down a bit. Since accessing the back is a pain physically for me, the app is pretty important. Thank you for this info though. It sounds like this will serve my purpose.

*edit*
sorry you meant the other SVS has an app. so yeah I probably need to seek out a sub with an app.

App with SVS is great, I use this sub in my office for gaming, music, movies, all different content so I adjust it both with a windows EQ and the App often.

I have the Jamo version of this sub and it's great!

Turn off the amp when not in use. Don't leave on Stand-By. That extends life.

I have this. Bought like 5 years ago for around $349. Sounds great. Would prefer one that's not ported but at this price, whatever.

This sub didn't exist 5 years ago, so you probably have the SPL or RSW etc...

This one is in a whole different league as far as output and components used.

Similar to comment above, there is no Jamo version of this new RP line of subs. I think the Jamo's are a reskin of the R series subs.

Most newer receivers (I am assuming you are using one) will also have a remote and things like a night mode etc or just use settings to turn it down as well from the receiver, just in case you did not know. Obviously the app on the sub is nice for your use case though, just putting more options out there.

Thanks for that info. I'm actually using an smsl small amp(AD18) for my computer setup, but you make a good point, I need to check into better receivers/amps
