I have the same question. It's not something you can open at the store to try how rigid/strong they are lol. Costco usually sells quality stuff, I may give it a try

got some hardcore golfers here. Other than club tournaments when they don't suspend the game, I'm pulling over taking shelter or get a raincheck. If its raining enough that I need an umbrella, I don't want to play. Nothing fun about clubs slipping and hitting shots through puddles or ball getting plugged.

And also, not everything has to be golf branded. I got so many plain umbrellas that I can just use it in rare occasion I end up playing in some light rain. IDK, may be its different in other parts of the country that it rains all the time and they have to adapt to play in rain/drizzle..

TL;DR

Just an absolute uninformed irrelevant and garbage take. These are excellent quality, and even better if you can grab them in-store.

right, as someone pointed out, costco online item usually is 10%+ more expensive than its in store price,
I prefer costco online to change its strategy to free shipping with $100+ and the same price as in-store

Takes up a lot of space being a full size one, but I just got the $4.97 foam handled one from Home Depot recently, it blocks the water from falling on me. my comment is to say that umbrellas are lost easily, and this just seems like a lot of money for an umbrella. I'm sure this one is infinitely nicer, but It ultimately achieves the same purpose as a cheap one

Unless you get a 1 MPH wind gust, then it folds

Obviously these are for blocking rain. I wouldn't wear branding like this when a premium is commanded, though.

Looks like a great umbrella otherwise.
