complete nonsense.. it's an active system that prevents bad website from opening among all the other stuff it blocks. Malwarebytes is the one King 20 years later and that's for a reason

I wonder why Malwarebytes and other software makers do not offer the discount directly.

Why are they giving the discount via Newegg ?

Does Newegg pay them ?

Seems like a loss-loss for both rather than a win-win .

Or do I have it wrong ?

I don't know but I'm thankful for the Newegg deals ( only a handful of Newegg deals at best per year )

I was up (am up) for renewal on my 5 device plan and Malwarebytes wants $160 to renew it directly with them. I just bought two 1 year 5 device codes for $50 total. SMH...

Yes, I'll go through the hassle of having to "move" my devices over a couple of times to save over $100.

does this really work? Those that have it... do you get more false positives or would a virus detector work better?

Not worth it. Just use their free version of you think you have an issue and turn Windows Defender on.

Yes it works. Malwarebytes anti malware works with an antivirus. I mainly get malicious web sites blocked.

I've used Malwarebytes for years and this is probably a good deal. Because I have so many devices I just use my routers AV which does the same thing unlimited devices

I have a bunch of lifetime cds left and use to recommend this to everyone. But MS Security built into Win11 will catch everything this thing can. It's basically redundant at this point. Just make sure you have uBlock for your browser.

Some people from the last deal claim that it no longer works for them. I'm also still rocking my lifetime license. I do have to log into my online account and remove licensing from old devices periodically, but I'm still able to use my lifetime license.

I still have almost a year left on my current subscription. Do I have to activate within a certain period of time or can I just add this to my account and have it sit for a while.

Still my go to for a rare additional scan just to be sure.

Prefer though using defender for daily protection at this point.

They probably got it leaked and flagged
