This is a decent price. If you aren't in a rush, this often drops further with various hack options. I picked up the 3 battery kit (2/4/5a.h.) for $124 this past February.

I need a drill for a Graco drill powered paint and stain sprayer. Does the hammer mechanism on this drill engage easily? I have been using a Milwaukee 12v impact driver and the impact hammering under the highest rpm setting causes the unit to overheat quickly and is very loud under the paint sprayer minimum operational torque. Does anyone know if the rpm on this hammer drill is fast enough to run the graco sprayer (1500rpm or more) without the hammer mechanism engaging? I know this is very specific, but a solid answer from experience will help every person in my situation

You can turn the hammer part off on drills.

Graco says to use a 18 volt or higher drill foryour sprayer. My graco sprayer(all one unit, not the drill one) came with 2 dewalt 20v batteries. The Milwaukee 3404 drill in this deal has a hammer mode, drill mode, and multiple clutched positions you manually select. The 2 speeds are 0-450 rpm and 0-1550 rpm, I don't know if it would hit or sustain this speed under load with the sprayer. Even with 18+ volts check the max rpm because not all of the are capable of higher rpm than this.

Do you need the 5ah battery? I want to build a small deck. Wondering if this kit is adequate?

If your building a deck consider the 20 volt line up. More run time juice, without having to recharge.
