MIYOO Mini Plus Portable Retro Handheld Game Console V2 for $32.14 (plus tax) with $3 off coupon code ASUS03 (works with existing customers, in addition to new)
https://www.aliexpress.us/item/32...60457.html

Review of the device from an excellent source:

(worth watching his other videos also, if you're unsure which handheld is right for you)

This device can handle all consoles up to the generation of SNES and Genesis very reliably. It's a bit less reliable with PS1 games, and not usable with newer systems. N64 support exists, but isn't ideal.

Shipping estimate: 4-8 days. This will arrive before new tariffs that affect Aliexpress purchases go into effect.

Very good price, even for Ali. This is probably the cheapest you're gonna score one of these. Very well received and reviewed if you're okay with hit or miss Dreamcast, N64, and PSP performance but that's true to all of these lower end devices. You don't get solid performance on those systems + PS2/GC until you go over the $150 mark (with a few exceptions that occasionally dip to $120)

I bought one for ~$55-60 on Amazon a few weeks back. Awesome little device at a great price.

I paid extra to have it pre-loaded with Onion OS, which was not worth it, since the no name brand micro SD card was so bad that it constantly froze/crashed. With a fresh install, it plays up to PS1 games very smoothly. (Plenty of guides to walk you through installing)

Do not buy this expecting to play N64. It doesn't even include the emulator, and if one were to be made, it would run terribly, if at all. PS1 works great, but the system doesn't have analog sticks, so that limits what you can play.

Buy this for NES, SNES, Gameboy/Advance, Genesis, Arcade. They work perfectly. I've owned a bunch of emulation handhelds and this remains my favorite, provided you understand the limitations. Just google "Onion OS" to replace the stock OS with something really powerful and useful.

N64 and PS1 are problematic b/c of the lack of analog sticks alone. N64 games can run on it, but the experience is admittedly not ideal, not well supported. I'm removing N64 from the description.

Code didn't work for me but I ordered anyway. Hoping this will be good for my 4 year old to start playing games.

you may want to look at some YT setups - Retro Game Corps has one on setting up devices for young kids and elderly. How to keep it simple, lockout some of the button combos that pullup/change settings, etc.
Otherwise... keep this for you and consider getting your kid a Datafrog SF2000 - simple UI and basically ready out of the box for a kid, and robust too.
The Frog can be "cleaned up" too - basically you want to remove the game choice over load and perhaps tailor it down to their interest and skill levels, as you don't want to over load them with "oh I used to love this game" selection that is far more challenging than you actually remember LOL.
Enjoy!

$100 duty after May 2 and $200 after June 1. Plus, USPS will charge a processing fee. There is extremely little chance of this arriving in time to beat the deadline.

I am shocked someone still posted an aliexpress deal.

Wondering if you're a new Aliexpress customer? This is the most common reason for a coupon code not applying to an order, in my experience, it's probably defaulting to a standard new customer discount. It's a bit trickier, but the discount can be even better. The trick is getting the New Customer discount to apply to a cheap accessory, NOT the handheld. Don't ask me why this makes a difference, I have no idea...

1. add a couple of cheap items to the cart (suggestion: a case and a screen protector).
2. add the Miyoo Mini Plus
3. make sure the total of the order is at least $42 ($40 isn't enough)
(at this point, the Miyoo should display $39 in-cart, and one of the cheap items should be .99.)
4. check out, and apply the coupon code "newus10off" during checkout for $10 off
If you added a case and screen protector and you applied the New Customer discount to the right item, it should take the code, and your total should be around $32 plus tax

It may have already shipped, or the order may have removed your 'new customer' status. So it might not help you this time. But for future reference, and others encountering the same.

Take a look at the shipping estimates: 4-8 day delivery estimate for this. Aside from unusual shipping issues, it'll definitely arrive in time. My last handheld arrived in 6 days. Everything I've ordered from Aliexpress in the past few months has shown up in less than 2 weeks, for that matter.

Edit: it seems quite clear that Aliexpress is aware of these deadlines, and is making efforts to deliver quickly so they don't deal with these planned tariff changes, or surprise changes that go into effect immediately. They're offering expedited shipping on everything to save themselves money, avoid unforseen costs, and continue selling to US customers while they can, it seems. Keep on buying for now. Time is NOT up yet!

Shipping estimate is 4-8 days. Arrives before tariffs go into effect. The "de minimis" exemption is ending at the beginning of May - orders that ship from China (many ship from the US) that arrive after this exemption ends will be subject to new tariffs. I'm expecting more increase in usage of US distribution centers to mitigate this cost - and it seems this is already happening, if you watch where the best prices on Aliexpress are now.

Important to note: this particular item does not state that it ships from a US distribution center, so you should be ordering this within the next few days, if you're going to order it.

I'll roll the dice… One last order.
