Looks like the 85" X90L has dropped to $1,498 which I think is the best price ive seen on it. It's not Mini LED but it's a Sony XR TV that has great reviews and has a similar RTINGS rating then similar TCL and Hisense TVs in this price range currently. So getting a better brand for a good price.

I'd wait for Black Friday and maybe get the 85 inch Bravia 7 for $1600-1800 if it follows the X93L pricing.
If you need one now, there are other 85 inch mini LED TVs available for around this price point: TCL Qm7 ($1500) Hisense U8N ($1700) & Samsung QN90D ($1999). Absolutely worth spending a little extra or waiting for price cuts on Mini LED.
Tcl mini led didn't compare to a Sony led from my own experience of testing them side by side.
I was disappointed the TCL being mini led didn't destroy the sony.

That's too much of a generalization. SOME Sony TVs are worth it. Like every company, they make some bad ones, as well as some good ones. There are TCL TVs that are better than some Sony TVs.
