You write this in almost every filament thread as if every PLA is the same. Also, filament from most retailers come from China and pricing will be going up. Elegoo already announced the increase is coming and Polymaker has already raised their pricing.
You shouldn't put those spools directly in your AMS. Elegoo direct has an adapter you can print that goes around the edges of the spool. There are also many variants available on makerworld which I prefer. They are quick prints and snap right on.

PLA should come out to under $10/spool in order to be a slickdeal. Around $9 when it is bought as a bundle. $100 for 10 rolls is an all day/every day price.

This is pretty close to normal price, which is $109, and they normally do $10 off sales.

That being said, this stuff is great even at its normal $109 price. I buy it on the regular,

not a bad deal. but those cardboard spools are a deal killer for me. i use a bambu lab p1s with ams. and the cardboard spools always warp or cause the filament to get stuck or tangled. super super annoying how often it happens.

Honestly, it depends on your price range
I have the Creality k1, k1 max and elegoo Neptune 4. I like the Core xy printers more and more. they can be harder and more time consuming to tune and get 'perfect' but worth it
If you can get one the Centauri Carbon looks promising.

as for recourses, Most brands have discord communities, YouTube is your best bet. Lots of good general knowledge and some good deep dives on different brands and printer models.
There is no perfect 3d printer and usually people will have different experiences based on Quality control. think of it like a car brand. Some people only trust Ford while others will never touch them.

Best of luck and have fun

I upgraded from Ender 3 V2 to Bambu Lab H2D - wow. I have only had it for past couple of days but it is nearly click and print.

Elegoo had a similar sale through eBay not too long ago. I purchased an assortment of colors and I still have a few unopened but the ones that I have used have been flawless so far. I have my Neptune 4 pro dialed in pretty well and have had no issues with the filament whatsoever. Definitely worth it at this price.

Ditto. I was going to get a Bambu Lab mini or A1, but now there almost $200 more now.
