I wonder how many people out there have no idea what the voltage/amperage numbers mean. I'm one of em.

i have this, do not recommend.

i owned a few anker Gan Charger, multiple 65 watt, 100 watt prime etc.

this one failed on me twice (anker RMA are great). it does charge up to 100 watt as advertise, it just stopped working, its really not worth the hassle having this with you if this is your only charger to travel with

One of the main things is the combination shows you wattage. Power = voltage x current
Watts = V x A (actually V x I symbol wise but I'm using the units shown)

So 5V/3A is 15W, 20V at 5A is 100W of power.

Not going into the difference between voltage and current here, but most electronic devices are limited by how much voltage it can handle at the input. For example most simple small devices can only handle up to 5V. If those devices can handle up to 3A then the max those will receive from this charger is 15W.

I have this and use it almost daily. It does get hot. I noticed that under max load of charging a power bank, if it doesn't have airflow it will eventually derate itself to 70W. If you let it cool, it will operate at 100W again. I wonder if people have this happen and assume it's a failure. I really recommend buying a few of the little in series USB power monitors. It's the only way to have any idea of what is happening with USB C chargers.

Thanks! In that case I don't see this as suitable for a computer that needs to run at 100W. Sounds like it will keep dipping.

I have this and I love it. Very small and light. Didn't run into any heating issues but I don't keep my MacBook Pro 16 plugged in.

Yeah, GaN technically should be used to make cooler chargers not smaller but when you put them in a smaller body they have a tendency to thermal throttle at sustained loads.

Provided you don't need 100W on any single device the three 72W 3 port on woot is a much better deal. https://slickdeals.net/share/android_app/fp/1095514

Even if you need 100W don't get this. You'll get 100W for the first few minutes until it heats up, then it will throttle until your device is nearly charged and is throttling itself.
