Wiim devices are solid for streaming services, but I found their software for managing your own music library lacking. However, for this price range you are not going to find anything comparable unless you build your own streamer with a raspberry pi and screen.

2xFosi V3 Mono > Aiyima A70 > Aiyima A07 Max. But the V3 got way more expensive and they're all good options for the Q1. I tested them all with the R3

You can do that. It supports Bluetooth (No LDAC unfortunately) and Chromecast. You could for instance cast Plexamp to it. You can access your own music with their app, but I find the way it sorts to be a hassle with a large library and it isn't very customizable.

Exactly. Last thing I need is streaming from online. I didnt realize people still do that when you can build your own library locally. Cloud is out. Personal clouds with your custom library streamed to you with built in local Ai for the right occasion, and we are goo to go! I converted everything local, and save over $300 a month and I have ALMOST ZERO subscriptions. I have 1 left and I already have an alternate for it.

It does show the album art for your local files. I would say set it up and try it and you may be fine with their app for streaming your music. If you end up not liking it you can always return it.

1. While it took a few attempts, I have my large music library attached. Don't let this stop your purchase.
2. No Airplay 2. This amuses me because most of the time Airplay 2 is 256kbs. Chase the dragon if you must.
3. I love this thing. Swiss Army knife of streamers. Has an HDMI ARC input.
If you are commenting about its deficiencies you ain't buying it anyway. Good luck finding something at this price with as close the ability.
