Putting "Ridgid" in the title would help your post because that would trigger more Deal Alerts.

Example: Rigid 18V Cordless Jig Saw Kit with 2.0 Ah Lithium-Ion Battery and Charger $99 @ Home Depot.
Although, if you had just put the brand name, most people would suspect that the store was HD
Do they have brushless now? Is it much better?
Weight of 2AH battery isn't too bad.
I would jump on this if it was brushless (even without battery as I have plenty). I really want a good jigsaw.

For the amount of used I'd need a jigsaw for, the brushed version would be good enough. After all, it's less expensive and I'm just a hobbyist woodworker.

Does Rigid replace with the same model or newer brushless if old brushed is no longer available. I already have this saw. Bought it with a "hack", returned batteries, ended up around $80. The bundled batteries were 4A and 6A. Regret returning because now i have ryobi cordless vac and other tools that i use with rigid batteries. Always need more battery for the vac.

I recall another poster on one of these Ridgid deals mentioned their brushed tool got replaced with a brushless model. Presumably, because the brushed tool was not available at that time. Just be sure you register each replacement tool and battery that they send back to you.
