@ulikunkel is correct. It's an easy solution for homeowners for simplicity but you should screen the mulch and sticks out before putting on your lawn if you do decide to buy it.

There are better solutions for your lawn but may not be as simple as grabbing these from Lowe's / HD which is why I use these with success from time to time. I just screen out all debris before using.

it is meant for garden beds
if you want to put in pots you should mix with 1/3 peat moss, and then it'll be just as good as the much more expensive potting soil

No, it wasn't on sale last week. Was going to pick up a few bags last week but it was regular price as was the mulch. Back on sale this week for Memorial day weekend.

Recently bought this at HD for same price to cover some bare spots to grow grass. This is nothing more than a bag of mulch with a little dirt sprinkled in.

Can you explain more? I'm a new homeowner and have some bald spots in my yard where grass hasn't grown because of trees blocking the sun. I got the trees cut but no grass. Got a $700 estimate for getting some sod installed but I don't need it to be perfect

if you buying more than 30 bags of these...get better soil at your local garden nursey. The potting mixed are $50 per cubic yard(1 truck full) which is like 36 of these bags but with better soil and cost less.

Depending on what part of US your in. Cool Season grass: Wait to fall (Late Aug/Early Sept), to Aerate the ground, then seeds, then water and more water.

If you like trash like glass shards, plastic, rubber, sticks and stones with a splash of soil in your yard, yes. But the grass may not even like the soil part

Another post exaggerating the contents. It's the same as the ones complaining about Chipotle's portions.

Sticks and mulch will turn into dirt within a year
