Have a few in my garage. Work great for overhead storage. I would recommend to use lag bolts.

Since you have a few, what is the minimum height adjustable to? I can't find it in the details other than the maximum is 27".

Thanks in advance!!

Can this be connected together to make a larger one. Like their 8x4 size by getting 2 4x2?

You'd need 4 of them not 2

Not unless you want to get creative with your own hardware. They sell different configurations of this, but they come with additional brackets to join the shelf sections together and connect to the ceiling. If you look in the manual you can see the 2 x 8 and 4 x 4 setups have different parts: https://assets.northerntool.com//...115332.pdf

I have a similar one from a different brand. Imagine 4 of these placed side by side, with the long sides touching. It came with nuts/bolts to secure the long sides together, which would probably not be included with this item. I believe it was 2 nuts each, so it'd be 6 total for my setup of 4'x8'. I bought it used, so I ended up having to get a few extra nuts from Lowe's. Easy enough to replace.

Edit: Forgot to add that there were long brackets that were secured along the short ends to keep them stable. Not sure what you'd have to do to replicate that function. Also. The corner supports that hung down from the ceiling were a different shape. So maybe this isn't such an easy diy ...

Looks like I'll need a p7 and p6 bracket if I wanted to do an 4x8. Can't really see how it looks like to see if I can just pick up a bracket from home depot or Lowe's to use them as the connection

Anyone have experience hanging something like this from manufactured I beams? Got a newer house, it uses composite I beams for all floor/ceiling joists. I don't have experience attaching to the bottom side of those.

That was my question as well. What if I get one, install it, and want to buy another right next to the other? Seems like that would be pretty tight on the stud.
