Almost six comes since the Walmart deal with 7900 GRE with 2TB SSD and 32GB come out for $999. This one looks like you are paying double the price

HP sucks. Never buy from them. I bought a high end omen from them 18 months ago and the HDMI port is dead and the trackpad doesn't work. The trackpad issue seems pretty universal.

Who downvoted this? 500W seems super low for this.

500W is fine for this. Thats a 65W processor and a 180W GPU. This system shouldn't pull more than 400W.

They are probably talking about any potential upgrades.

People who don't build computers or plan/know how to upgrade their rig. 500w is pathetic

The you will likely need new case with better cooling. Of course nobody is likely proprietary for, so lets swap that out. Of course power supply is likely non-standard size so that needs swapped to. Real world, when you need major upgrades, sell this system and buy a new one. If you like constant upgrades, build your own or buy something like powerspec built with standard parts. Actually having the 16g graphics is a nice touch. Oems need to hit price points. I'd rather have the 16gb card over the 8gb card with a higher end psu
