How did you end up getting? It's not letting me register for the account.

I have a 2021 M1 Macbook Pro and love it but only use it for regular stuff and no crazy software, etc. I'm wondering how dumb it would be to purchase this since no tax and sell the Macbook Pro.

I'm in the same boat. I have the 2021 MacBook Pro 16 (M1 Pro, 32GB) - my roommate has the laptop from this deal (M4 Air 13, base). Performance is comparable, but they get noticeably better battery life, thanks to 60Hz lower brightness screen and having more efficiency cores. I wouldn't upgrade for the hardware, and the display is just plain worse, as are the speakers. I would however consider this to get the same performance in a more portable package, and to get another 4 years of updates.

Exactly what I'm considering. Wonder how much a M1 Pro can get on the market lol

just google performance between m4 vs M1 Pro. M1 Pro will still beat a base m4 in cpu and mem bandwidth (and typically pro machines have faster nvme).
If your goal is new warranty, lightness and possibly longer updates (they're all arm-based so theoretically OS support based on architecture should be pretty close), go and swap out. My wife is okay with her M2 MBA, myself, I have an M1 Pro.. I prob wont upgrade until M5 Pro

It's honestly a great deal. I picked one up even though I already had a MacBook Pro M1 14 and it's really similar. I got Best Buy to price match it and with Best Buy total plus I got two free years of AppleCare. I'm also sales Tax Exempet so I didn't have to pay any sales tax and Best Buy was running for Toll plus members a $75 gift card for a MacBook purchase so after the gift card tax exemption and Price matching this deal it came out to $675 with two years of AppleCare plus and I use my MX platinum so I got another two year warranty on top of that and it's really a great deal for that kind of price. The sales have been burning up. A lot of my cash going on slick deals. I also got Best Buy a price match the M4 Mac Studio for $1600 and of course, no sales tax and AppleCare and I got a price match on the iPad mini a 17 cellular for 450 with AppleCare plus but honestly, the stuff is just so nice and for the money, convenience and enjoyment and the amount I use it every day for work and fun it's worth it
If you want to save a lot of money get a tax exemption with your state they only cost less than $50 a year and will pay for them selves in one purchase

I agree, there are pros and cons of the M1 Pro and the M4 chips - M4 wins on CPU benchmarks, but M1 Pro leads on iGPU. My understanding is that Apple typically supports products based on time of release, so I'd be shocked if M4 MacBooks don't get at least 2 years of support beyond what M1-series do. For most people who don't have an M1 MacBook Air or older, there's not much reason to upgrade - but for anyone who is still using an Intel MacBook, this is an amazing deal.

My new job uses MacBook Pros. I hate it. Excel constantly freezes, Chrome freezes. I miss using a decent desktop.

Your local exchange will price match this if it's in stock online. Nex 32rd street match the 750 price for me a few weeks ago.
