This is the way.

I've got two of these -- one in the livingroom and one in my home office.

Put 'em on a smart switch so you can turn them on and off via voice command and put a "power off" schedule on them in case you forget.

The reason these amps fail -- from what has been said on the interwebz -- is because of them being in standby mode for numerous hours. If you don't have them in standby mode, you should be able to increase the longevity of these.

And when they work, they perform quite nicely at this price point.
Some one will slam it on account of the amp soon enough.. I've had 2 for a few years with no problems. I also cut mine off when not in use though.

Serious question why do these keep getting posted you can see it's been this price for months and months. It's not a sale it's normal price on a decent subwoofer with a mediocre amp.

4 years on mine with no issues. Like others have said, turn them off when not in use. When/if the amps fail ill just remove the failed amp and install a plate and run an external one.

Amazon is selling 2 pcs for $1140. Guess one is not enough for a good bass.

Bought this last time. Arrived dead. Adorama won't accept a return because I threw away the original mfr box. Currently disputing on my cc. Klipsch is happy to send a replacement amp but they are backordered until september.
As someone who gambled on the amp issue for the price id suggest you stay away

That is an absolutely wild recommendation for a product. Standby should not cause your device to fail. This is a bad product.

Imagine putting your laptop or phone on standby killed it. "Just turn it off when you're done, it'll last longer!" No thanks.. I'll go for the device that will last longer with standby enabled 👍🏽

Speedwoofer. Given the ridiculous requirements to keep this thing alive, just get one that you know will.

No need to coddle the Speedwoofer. It doesn't need to be caressed or need a warm bottle with a blanket and a bedtime story for it to last.

I missed the part where I said it wasn't a flawed design.

I provided a simple workaround for it -- a $5 to $10 smart outlet.

And nobody is stopping you from buying a subwoofer that doesn't have this design flaw... and paying 2x to 3x what this one costs. 👍
