this is inaccurate, microfiber is softer, sturdier, and when manufactured properly more absorbent per unit weight than cotton by a lot.

microfiber is superior for cleaning and will last longer.

go ahead, Google it.

for the record, $16.97 is MSRP, its a 'Lifeproof' brand which is a Home Depot store brand, and yes, I found it in stock (at least orderable online) at a couple local stores even if its out of stock at most of them.

Microfiber, it's basically plastic made into imitation cloth. It's crap at absorbing. It's horrible at holding, it's virtually useless. I don't understand how anybody thinks that is better whenever you have cotton that actually absorbs up and helps you clean.

the only time microfiber would be advantageous, is if you somehow wanted it to be a little more scratchy and not absorb water very well. maybe there is a use case for this, I just don't know what it is.

It works well but it is odd. Getting something wet to improve absorbency is highly counterintuitive. Takes a few uses to trust the method.

i googled it, one of the first page replies:
Cotton fibres are hollow and they can hold as much as 24–27 times their own weight in water.
Microfibre towels that have split fibres also hold water but only about 7 times their own weight so they're nowhere near as good as cotton when it comes to absorbing water.

everyone is trying hard as they can to say positive things about microfiber in general, pushing the limits of theory with saying it may work as well as cotton.

thats not something to write about though. theoritically if the microfiber is perfect, it may compete with cotton. great. cotton will outshine it 3 times over though in many situations i need it to work in.

the ability for microfiber to cling lint, this rarely seems to help when cleaning, but it will surely attract infinite trash in the dryer if you put it in with any other cloth

no im sold that its not as good, dont piss on my back and tell me its raining.

have you even tried to clean with the stuff?

all that said, for $5 maybe you're getting exactly what you pay for which is fine

And it's flat rate. So you can order as many as you can and it'll still just be $2.99

How do you wring the water out? Or is this just a sweeper with a spray bottle?

Yet another "it's useless because I personally don't understand or need it" take
