I'm sure it's been mentioned and buried but extended warranty benefit goes away next month which sucks
Uhh yeah I have an Amex, this is not true lol
I'm sure citi fought hard in the bidding process to beat Amex to get the Costco account. Part of the terms were probably to offer better benefits for the customer....

I have received two different mailings, both with about a 10 page letter explaining everything.
I am sure you have to have an active AMEX account, but one of my letters was for an account they closed for security reasons and the other was for my current Costco card.
Closest thing I can think of is Citi Forward which gives 5 points per $1 that can be redeemed for gift cards.
I have a Citi Forward card and just received notice it is changing from 5x points for restaurants to 2x in June so looks like this new Citi Costco card will be the one to beat for restaurants going forward.
do you get all your credit limit from amex transfered to citi? how does it work? want to keep my credit from amex maybe I should apply for a new card
when they transfer it is it hard pull soft pull?
we get the new card in June 1st right? no need to apply
My understanding is that there will be no credit pull at all. All your account information will be transfer to Citi, including account history and age. So if you already have the Costco Amex, there is no reason not to get this. And No, you don't need to apply.
Just received today the mail from citi - Costco wholesale, telling me my NEW Costco Anywhere Visa card by Citi will arrive proor to 6/20/2016. Did not call, email Citi or Costco about it.
is there currently a personal Costco Amex and business Costco Amex? I have the executive business membership and not sure if my Costco is business or personal.
I recently got a costco membership. How soon can I sign up since I don't have to switch and when can I start using the card since there is no transfer involved?

thanks so much for that!
so the credit limit will be the same? everything will be the same I guess?

You have to wait to apply for it, once Costco starts taking applications for the Citi Visa. My guess would be this month or next month.
Costco Amex has annual fee if you're no longer member. I closed my costco membrship 2 months back and yet costco didn't close my amex true earnings card and I also received mail saying that I'll get new city card to replace this amex card.
My husband purchased costco membership a month back & I'm not yet added on his account. I'm planning to add my name soon so I can also shop in costco but not sure whether I can use this earlier card (now will receive as citi card tied to my previous membership) or if there is an option to tie it to my husband's account...
Any clue?
Also, is it true that newly received citi visa card has no annual fee even if u r no longer costco member?

Other thing to remember. Pl transfer all of your current credit limits to other amex card if not, the sinking amex card may carry it away..

Not saying I'm not pleased with this as I prefer Visa anyways and these perks are way better. But wow no heads up or choice in the matter at all....
Best part of this versus AMEX Costco - NO ANNUAL FEE

Costco Amex did not have a annual fee either.
