If this was 5 years ago, I'd agree, with all amps out these days with Verified higher Sinad performance, I'd really hesitate to buy one of these as a purist.

Not saying 701 is bad.

I paid $357.19 for the A-S501SL in 2018 powering 2 SVS Prime Towers ... how much better is this A-S701?​

Any decent receiver has Sinad measurements below audibility. Better measurements are irrelevant if nobody can hear the difference.

Lol, arguing with an "audiophile" is a waste of time. According to them to enjoy this amp you will need to spend a fortune on speaker cables as large as a boa constrictor injected with air captured at the summit of Everest and then blessed by a shaman. Meanwhile in the real world you could connect them with coat hangers and they wouldnt be able to tell a difference in a blind test.
