I cant imagine this is going to be very popular...Due to Pioneer/Onkyo ,many people are now expecting Dirac equipped units standard at this price point
Not several hundred dollars more to buy the license and the required calibration mic

Thats plenty for most home theaters, I think. I run a PC, XSX, PS5, Switch and a Shield TV. What else is there to fill in the 2 other inputs?

the price of these things have gotten way inflated. this is probably a $799 receiver really. they will have to bring the price way down on these things or sell way fewer units. dont see Joe 6 pack paying these prices.

Yeah, I had thought about this receiver since I currently have Denon AVR-X3400H but ended up moving back to Onkyo with the TX-RZ50 since it comes with Dirac without any separate purchase. Picked up the TX-RZ50 at $960 refurbed directly from Onkyo.

These are solid units with mid to top range internals meant for enthusiasts, but not audiophiles. if regular Joe wants a cheaper unit Denon makes true entry level AVR. These are expensive because they use Texas Instruments ESS DACs and better amplifiers. For example a Shiit Modi or Monoprice DAC are around $100 for a similar AKM 2 channel DAC, this unit process 11 channels and drives 9.

Ref: I have an X3700 and highly recommend.
