Tried that, had to return as it wasn't working (and you may be getting the one I briefly had.) But if you're okay with a bit of gambling and ready to return promptly upon unboxing if found defective, then why not.

I wonder what "large cosmetic imperfection(s)" will look like. I'd probably add the wording to your post. Of course, if it works properly, it's a great price.

I got mine reconditioned a few years ago from Amazon for about $360. Worth every penny, and it was in excellent shape.

So, I was looking at various espresso machines and noticed Amazon has more 'used-acceptable' units for espresso machines than they typically do for other items. Example, usually when I scour the used section I see 30% like new, 50% very good, and maybe 1-2 listings for 'good' or 'acceptable'.

For espresso machines it seems they are all listed as 'acceptable' and there are quite a few units available in this condition. It seems HIGHLY UNLIKELY that the majority of returns will have "major cosmetic damage".

Point being, it is a gamble. You may have to return it and wait a couple weeks for your refund. But I have a feeling many of these are better than acceptable. Also, on top of the $329.97, you can get 7% back on your Amazon Prime card, bringing this down to $306. I'm going to try my luck!

What I really want is a Gaggia Classic Evo Pro + Add a PID unit + a Baratza Sette 270 grinder. But were looking at $1,000 for all that. I'm pretty sure $306 is a great price to start out as a first unit.
