1. You cannot pay online, no way to add it, CS do not know why.
2. They do NOT even provide you a monthly stmt, no paper stmt, no e-stmt. Just NO stmt at all. CS does not know why.
3. Complaints with CFPB just go to a black hole.
That's bs
Yes, you can get multiple of these cards. Please skim through the comments and you'll find plenty that discuss having more than one of these cards.
I can let that money sit in Bank of America to get "preferred awards status", which after three months gives me an additional 2.25% cashback on purchases in a single category (say online stores like amazon) which assumes I know what category a purchase will be applied to (I don't).
OR I can put that 100k in treasury bills that return 5% non-competitively over 13 weeks... who the hell would pick first option???
Edit: I have nothing against this card or this deal, but definitely don't go into this card for preferred rewards...
Edit2: Sorry for not updating. I'm definitely wrong for implying that only checking accounts got rewards. I'm leaving the comment up for context.
Google, "cash management solutions Merrill Edge" and it is either the first or second or third link, but it is the pdf link... it lists a few dozen money market funds of tbills and other gov't bonds, etc... and the funds that did the best last week did the best last year.

Considering you can put that 100k in treasury bills andget an easy 1k in 3 months, It makes no sense to do this and makes me think all the people who talk about preferred rewards are bots
Edit: The card and the deal itself are fine, but preferred rewards definitely isn't some financial goal to strive for...
I have 100K worth of ETFs in a self-directed IRA at Merrill. It sits there just as it would if it were in my Fidelity account, but instead it earns me an extra $1500 a year (3 cards = $7500/ qtr. * .052 reward percent * 4 quarters) forever on top of the regular growth and dividends.
Same! I just sent pretty much the same reply a few posts down.
I agree regarding BoA customer service. I have 9 different cards and my Amex card gets used the most because I trust that if something goes wrong, Amex will be much easier to deal with than other companies. I rarely used my BoA card and it was inactive for 2 years which gave them a good excuse to cancel the card. Didn't miss it at all.
but these years BofA customer service is terrible when you have problem to dispute....
