So I looked at this set around Thanksgiving and decided against it because so much of the tool count if quarter inch bit tips that aren't practically useful.

I know it is a bit more money, but this set:
https://www.homedepot.com/p/Husky.../312945780
Had a much more practical collection of tools. It has complete sets of Allen wrenches, a full set of end wrenches and a very complete socket collection. I got it for my son's birthday around Thanksgiving and he was able to compete a valve cover seal replacement with only 1 new item.
It's on sale for $89 at my local HD. Just seen tonight.
I am not a mechanic, but bought this set a couple weeks ago to do light work on the Jeep. So far it's been just fine. I have always been told to buy the inexpensive tools and if you wear them out due to use, then buy the higher quality. So far I have no complaints. .

I would rather have fewer Allen wrenches and even skip the special sockets for more wrenches

At least he's not the one talking about this being a bad deal because some other set was $15 last year, which helps no one and certainly can not be replicated.

Husky is a good brand, and the lifetime warranty is legit, just go into any home Depot and exchange. If you have no tools or really crappy ones this could be a nice starter set. I bought a similar Craftsman bundle like this as my first tool set from Sears back in the day.

Projectfarm just did a review of all these sets I believe.

Like I need another screw driver set. Just give me the wrenches and sockets without the tiny pieces I'll lose and bother me.

I bought this year's ago, great tool set except the box sucks. It opened on me twice and fell everywhere. Eventually I replaced it with those socket sticks.

I did go to harbor freight and buy a few big sockets, like for an axle job I did. But this set is great

You aren't comprehending that the cited posts were by two different people, I guess. Or you didn't mean to reply to me or completely missed what I was referring to.
