Super powerful, it has an adjuster to lessen it, but it about pulls my rug off my hardwood floor.

Never seem to notice any discussion regarding filter/ bag replacement prices when vacuum cleaners sales come up on SD. Can you share a brief overall take of this one and how it has been working for you and how much the filter costs to replace it?

So strong it pulled me thru the floor … Smilie - corded Shark outperform Dyson imo (tested both many versions)

Solid question. Curious myself. I may look for a unit with washable filter rather than to have 'maintenance costs' over my head.

Do we need to replace the filters or is it machine washable, how long the filter lasts? Any idea

Pre-motor filters get washed every 3 months or as needed. Manual says to rinse hepa every year. Replace pre-motor every 2.5 years and Hepa every 3 years.

Just had the hose on a shark from a previous deal start to come apart. Shark has deliberately engineered these to not be repairable. They're cheap, but expensive in the long run.

I've seen enough repair videos on Shark to pretty much know they don't want anyone taking these apart, it's part of their business model. At some point the cheap hoses all these manufacturers use develop breaks/rips in them.

I have two Hoovers (these are old - like 10 years old) and both developed hose breaks. In my case, I was able to buy a new hose from a different brand and retro it in to work. Depends on if you can remove the end pieces or not.

Thanks for sharing this. Is this the norm for most brands out there? I wasn't even aware that pre-motor filters even existed in vacuums to begin with..

This one doesnt have the power fins (which are super easy to clean and equally good at picking up things). If you are a bit lazy or not thorough in cleaning the brushes, it can drag your vacuum slowly to demise. Still, this is a good vacuum at this price point
