I bought one of these last time around in excellent condition. System was perfect except it didn't come with the little stand for FPS mode so I had to refund it because Excellent is supposed to come with original accessories.

That being said, great device. I bought an ROG Ally instead and love that more because of the size and weight. It feels more like a gaming device whereas the LegionGo feels like a luxury device that i was too afraid to lay down on the table or hold too close to my pets.

These handheld gaming PCs are amazing. Easily the best gaming purchase I've made in quite some time.
I snagged one last time. Box was beat to crap but system was perfect
Yes it's basically a full running PC main focus is the game part.

Got mine back in November and it's been nothing but fun. Used to be into PC gaming but these days with a family I have other obligations and have to be able to play anywhere an opportunity arises. Was stuck out of town in a hotel for a week and ran power/monitor/keyboard/mouse to it with a usb-c dock. A laptop might work better for a lot of people but I prefer to be able to hold the device in my hands and lay on the hammock

This was never worth $750, definitely not worth $600.
Any handheld game consoles aren't worth that.
This isn't just a limited handheld game console like the steamdeck... It's literally a portable powerhouse pc on the go.

Then you're doing it wrong

with a gaming laptop, you can transmit most games to your phone and play of that-- but still get the better performance
Why would you wirelessly stream a game from a laptop to your phone? And on a small phone screen at that....

You can play directly on this device with controls built in.

Thats not a good deal at all. The ROG Ally is better in many ways for same price. Smaller screen hides jaggies better at lower res. Power on the Legion is worse due to that big a$$ screen. At 800p ROG Ally is almost always faster.
Uh you do realize the Legion has a much higher resolution right? The PPI on the Legion is 340 versus 314.

If you have the $100 off offer on your amex for lenovo, you can get a new one for a little more. I didn't get lucky with the open box lottery. I bought an excellent one from best buy last time and it didn't even have a box. Someone also put in 150 hours on it. If you get cashback on it, you will come out ahead. There was 10% cashback available yesterday. It will probably be back again before the sale is over. Lenovo also releases inventory from best buy if you want it fast.

You could play off a gaming laptop, with better specs and a bigger screen.
"I own a gaming laptop but I don't game on it"" WTF LOL

Why?! The whole point is for this to be a PORTABLE computer.
Same reason people dock their laptops to a monitor sometimes.

The effective ppi is higher on the Ally when both are running at 800p due to it having a smaller screen. I get his point but not sure I believe it would be a big difference as I haven't seen reviewers claiming that.

His point about the bigger screen using a ton more power is not true though. They both use edge lit LCDs that use a very small amount of power compared to the rest of the system.

Do you want to only play Nintendo Games or do you want to play PC games and Nintendo games via emulators?

I got mine at this price. I am more than happy with it. With that said. Out of the box it is configured pretty much as a desktop pc, which means you have to spend some time adjusting settings so the battery can last you more than 30 minutes. Not exactly plug and play. As long as you are willing to spend some time tweaking Windows you will have a decent experience. And heads up Windows is not the win all be all of portable experiences so be ready to suffer a little.

Maybe the use case would be to have as a mini pc (like the beelinks) part of the time but be able to undock and use for portable gaming as well. That's what I'm thinking.
