After watching around for over a month, I finally pull the trigger for this one currently on sale for $200 off. I only trust Lenovo and ASUS on build quality based on my own experience. Best recent deal for study and casual gaming.

FYI: 16G RAM is dual channel and soldered. No more slots. 1TB SSD is maximum it supports. Perfect! Save me money and trouble to upgrade it.

Looks like a great price for that processor... What's the catch?
Does it being 2-in-1 limit the processor or integrated GPU in any way?

Heavy for a 2-in-1, especially a 14" one. Anything above 1.3kg shouldn't be a 2-in-1 IMO.

Yoga is almost IdeaPad Slim 7 but in this model the display color gamut is not that ideal for photo editing etc. Personally, I would avoid 2 in 1.

lenovo has too many skus, and still wants to move their high end skus. in order to provide a differentiator they put absolute garbage tier screens on everything except their highest end stuff. it's absolutely obnoxious. They will kneecap otherwise great models T14s for instance with just bad screens some years.

Once youve had a laptop with a 450+ nit screen and full color reproduction there is no going back.

Typo. It's 1920 by 1200 which is 2K (~2000 pixels horizontally).

If you're okay with open box, you might find a store with a Yoga 7i with an Intel i5-1335U (or i7-1355U), 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, and a 300nits 2.2k screen with 100% sRGB for $545 (excellent condition). No delivery available, so YMMV.

edit: The iGPU on these Intel chips aren't nearly as good as the Ryzen 7 8840HS.

Agree 100%. On a laptop that hits up to 500+ nits, and it's impossible for me to use other screens. Not to mention color representation is vastly different between actually calibrated good screens and screens found on most of these deals.

The screen. Lenovo does it every time at these prices. Decent processor, crappy 300nits screen.

Lenovo has too many laptops IMHO. What's the difference between the yoga and the flex? Costco recently had a decent deal on the flex.

Are you one of those that calls 2560 horizonal pixels "2K"?

Looks like a great deal to me. Just bought a Thinkpad with the Ryzen 7 and the 780m graphics for around $1050 two weeks ago. Runs fortnite perfectly fine. Glad I chose AMD over intel.
