That's my biggest beef with slick deals. Back in its prime when ppl like us ran the site, it included info about the normal pricing…I guess we need a new SD at this point because everything that made it great is disappearing

Yeah, this is normal price at this point. Retail price shows $129.99, not the $199.99 that SD is showing.

Drawers are hard to open and top does not open. Kobalt top opens and drawers open easy for same price.

I like the 21 combination wrenches. That seems kind of unusual in this price range

I like how the ratchet are skinnier than most and at least to what I used it for a oil change a starter change it worked great in tight spots

'Tis the season for massive $99 25+ pound toolsets. Compare to the 200+ piece sets from Kobalt, Husky, Pittsburgh. They'll all be $99 if they aren't already.

Great if you need this range of sockets with 3 ratchets, but agreed it's not a particularly special price. I think the Kobalt is all 6-point sockets (this isn't), but I may be wrong. Here's the component list [lowes.com].

If you aren't a mechanic with a shop, and just want a comprehensive household ratchet/socket set that doesn't take up as much space or weigh 26 pounds, I really like this one for $50. The range is the same -- just no 1/2" ratchet, not as many overlaps or deep sockets, and it's all 6-point.

This set went on clearance for $50 last year before the new year. Keep an eye out for that again in store only.

I don't like this new style craftsman ratchets. They are light and don't seem like they will hold up. That said for light use they should be fine. No problem with the wrenches or sockets, so the overall kit may still be worth it.

I will avoid Craftsman. Its quality has been going downhill for quite some time. The marked "made in USA" Craftsman screwdriver I got before pandemic was even softer than a screw I put it on.
