I consider this to be an outstanding buy, for the price.
It's far different than a Kitchenaid (I have an 8qt Commercial & a 7qt bowl-lift) as it's all plastic and the Kitchenaids are all metal/cast aluminum and the drivetrain is surely 'lighter duty', but for mixing batter, cookie & cake mixes and anything except heavy doughs it should perform well.

I've seen test reviews of near-identical clones of the Pioneer Woman mixers that did far better than expected. For $62 I'm very tempted to get one just for small-batch & light-duty mixing.
