It's removable, but uses a proprietary barrel plug into the base of the stand so upgrading isn't an option. Besides, it will charge 3 devices at full power, so there's no point in upgrading to a bigger power supply.

No, I had a cheap one for a while and my phone would be very warm to the touch when I took it off the charger. I've had this one for a year now and used it on a 13 pro and now a 15 pro max and have not noticed any warmth when I take it off in the morning.

Slick deal OP. Picked up one for my youngest kid. Currently running 3 of these in our house and they've been great. Cool to the touch, nicely weighted base so you can pull the phone off one-handed (not all magsafe stands can do this) and charges a iphone, apple watch, and airpods (with external case) reliably. Rep'd.
