If there were open-box models near me for ~$650, I would seriously consider it. This review (https://www.pcworld.com/article/2...eview.html) has it at 17 hrs of battery life for casual tasks, and almost 4k in Time Spy! Those Lunar Lake processors (the ones with "256v" or "258v") are no joke. Other than mediocre speakers and some chassis softness, it sounds like a great all-around machine.

It keeps getting cheaper! I purchased one last week, & so far, no negatives to report. The display is just beautiful, performance is very good, as expected. I think that at that price point, $750, that's as good a laptop as you can get.

I have an older model with horrible battery life, but yes the OLED is gorgeous.. if battery life is as good as advertised, this is a great deal IMHO

This is great I've been considering buying this and this made me pull the trigger. I didn't expect it to ever drop below 800 I was just hoping to combo it with some cashback deal. I have a very similar older Laptop with a zen 4 7840U that i bought refurbished for the same price and its great except for the battery life. This has a 40% bigger battery and lunar lake so it should have well over double the battery life from what I've seen. Wish it had 24 or 32gb of ram but the perf per watt and Screen quality you are getting here is unreal. You just can't beat the battery life and efficiency of these lunar lake laptops without looking at macbooks. AMD loses handily and intels old designs get destroyed even worse. Even the snapdragons lose and that isn't even accounting for all their downsides with compatibility and the IGPU being weak.

Sadly this is the last iteration of lunar lake cpu. Probably too expensive to have integrated ram on the cpu. Thats why theyre moving away from that design. I'm very tempted, im gonna pull the trigger. I was going to wait for the amd 395 ai laptops to go on sale maybe next year lol.

At a not-low price like this, it should have at least 24GB of memory.

Does this one have one of the new mobile processors that are supposed to surpass snapdragon in terms of battery life?

Exactly the reason I bought the Asus 226V deal. The design is great for performance and efficiency - at a cost.

Panther lake is coming later 2025, think the uplift is incremental instead of a leap like Lunar Lake. Another reason to grab the Lunar Lake.

Not sure surpass, more like on par. There are people reporting Snap Dragon battery life way below expectations - the most touted selling point of the x-elite laptops

OK processor(not a fan of P/E, just the gimic) & could be 2tb at this price. Ought to know that fingerprint reader is not protect you but to spy on you.
Since Windows drivers and security control the fingerprint reader hardware, you're saying that MS is spying on you? How does having my fingerprint allow someone to spy on me?

It's always shocked me how many people not only tolerate products that contain them, but even want them as a "feature!" No one should have ever purchased anything of the sort!
Do you ever go out in public or buy things online? You should never do anything of the sort! Big Grin

Do you even know what you're talking about? There is no Lunar Lake-based laptop with 24GB of memory because the memory is ON THE CHIP. 16GB or 32GB are the only options from Intel.
