No, this one is significantly worse than the TCL QM7 98" that was $2k for a while. A lot cheaper, but I'd say go for a good 85 over this lower end set. I think at $1000-1200 it's a solid buy.

Saw this price in a Los Angeles store. Crazy how cheap massive tvs are these days. Projectors are getting harder and harder to justify

Lots of brands nowadays have their cheap / low-end and more expensive high-end screens. I have a TCL roku, TCL android, and Samsung TV. Since both TCL screens are 120+ refresh rates they're easily as good as the more expensive Samsung TV, certainly at the price point.
People are living in the past thinking Chinese = Cheap crap. Some of the highest and most innovative companies are coming out of china now. China has the ability to make things at all price levels from temu crap to DJI drones

Exactly! If you have light-controlled room, any basic large TV is great value compared to cost of good 4K projector + screen.

Yeah, been waiting for it to drop to that price range. This model has been $1349 at Costco since late last year, after super bowl, it shot up to $1700ish for a couple of weeks, and then back down to $1349. Some warehouses carry the 100" Hisense instead, and it's like $1649ish again, it also shot up to $2149 after super bowl for a couple of weeks.

I've been thinking about taking down my 4K Optima projector and selling it, then getting one of these instead, sine the room is light controled.

I bought tcl qled 65" s546 3 years ago for 500$, which I was so surprised that the TV was so bright and crispy than, just a little bit inferior to 1000$ samsung equipvalent tv. TCL is showing that SamSung and Sony are ripping off our pockets while their qualifies are downgrading

lol, you still need to get these through the doors. Bought a Hisense 100" for my basement to replace a projector. Wouldn't fit through the stairs 😔 Wound up putting it in my family room. So upset that I couldn't get it down there cause it's such an awesome TV.
