For those that don't need that much, the single refill is also on sale and a hair cheaper @ $4.55 S&S 👍
Watch out for bacterial growth if you do this a lot.

Pro tip if you want to save even more: buy the regular Gel version and when refilling your foam dispenser add water to dilute it and it will foam very well. It basically doubles the refills you would normally get with the foam version.

Yeah I mean it's important to fully clean it between refills and don't use a refillable dispenser for years. You could use filtered or even distilled water if you're that concerned but I mean, most reusable soap dispensers at public bathrooms are probably filthy I'm not too worried about it at home but still a good point to clean you hands and clean the bottle when you refill.

I do have three key recommendations as a person who indeed does this a lot:
  • Use distilled water instead of tap water
  • Completely empty the dispenser every time and clean/rinse/dry betwern refills
  • Use a relatively high ratio of soap
The final recommendation is going to involve personal preference, the kind of soap you're using, and even the dispenser type. I've had great success with my Dial dispensers and thin gel-type refills from Sam's Club, Amazon Basics, and SoftSoap at a 2.5 to 1 ratio of water to soap. I've read online of most ratios sitting at 3 to 1 or higher (i.e. - thinner/more water). Part of the reason I go with such a rich ratio is to avoid any spoiling risked by a thinner solution, though the other reason is reinforced every time I go to my mother in law's home and get a handful of overly-thinned foam from her own dispenser. Of course, the other reason I go with this ratio comes down to how easily it works with the dispenser and a 2/3 measuring cup. I add 2/3 of distilled water to an empty container and add soap until the water reaches the fill line of the bottle (at 7.5 oz).

Good luck!
Jon

Got one. It's like getting almost 3 free soap pumps from the 7.5 fl oz ones I normally get. Thanks.
