Yes. Yes there has. Feels like gross negligence at the most optimistic and government-approved trojan horse hardware at the more paranoid/realistic.

Yeah I posted that one as well - I have both the Netgear and TP-Link in use, and consider them pretty much interchangeable in terms of functionality, and buy the cheaper of the two when needed - they are currently both at the same price.

This argument again...

Those articles mention the risk to routers. These are switches. Is there any information that other products like these switches that have been compromised?

Just glossing over the text of the attack, it looks like it is only for devices directly on the Internet. None of my switches have routable IP addresses. Nor any of my home devices. So?

I have used RIP (BAD idea), OSPF, and BGP, so don't be afraid to explain to me in detail how this might affect my home network.

Thanks in advance.

Yes, thank you. Someone who cannot understand which device does what is... Noise. I will shut up now with the insults (deserved) against those who are so loud and stupid.

Good to figure out the difference between a router and a switch first....

This is a bad deal because of Chyna!

Even though there is no evidence that TP-Link is doing any kind of spying for these devices.
