Would this be a nice pair for a vinyl setup?

Wow! Amazing price! Please note these are 4ohm at 86db, so you're going to need a pretty specially powerful amp to drive them. Probably a nice class D 160w or more amp from Fosi Audio would be my suggestion.

I have this amp and it is superb. The BT is always on and has great range, so it can be used easily in a home theater setup. I don't need a sub because I have fuller range speakers hooked up to it, but they make other models with sub out.

Edit: this one has sub out but no BT:

These or Q150? They seem similar on paper. I just got Q150s and still haven't gotten the sound I want. A bit harsh in the highs but still adjusting with my AVR, so there is hope.

Literally have the same question. Got Q150s 2 weeks ago, and wondering if these are worth the $100 extree.

I know the "meta" upgrade to the LS50 was seen as significant, and these are using the same materials and tech. Would also be curious.

These are upgrades to Q150s. Q150s have harsher highs. Meta material is supposed to be fixing that. I would return Q150 and get these.

I know these are passive compared to those being active. These will need an amp and one that someone linked in thread is $100, so that's putting these just $100 less than those from Costco). That said, the Costco ones are sold out.

Costco sells LSX II LT, which are powered speakers. They have inbuilt amplifier + streamer. But they are smaller and good for desktop/small room setup. Q1 are bit larger and can produce larger sound, but have no built in power or streamer. You'll need to buy it separately.

I don't know about these but I nabbed a pair from costco.

I can only recommend them for close listening. They're very particular on how they need to be positioned in order for you to hear everything they have to offer. Even a few inches off the center completely changes the character of the sound. So the way they're angled in and the height they're placed matters greatly

that is not correct. impedance is one of the most misunderstood specs. impedance is not a single number (Yes it is reported that way). in real world it varies based on frequency. this curve will result in peaks and troughs. it is important to note how low the trough is (impedance) as well as the frequency range that it occurs at. this may be a very narrow trough or an larger one.
