I got the 12" version from the last deal. However, I notice when I heat up my pan the bottom warps. The warping goes away when the pan cools, but I can't imagine this would be good for the pan in terms of longevity and temperature distribution. Any insights/techniques I should implement to minimize this phenomenon?

Yes. Your pan is TOO HOT.
Carbon steel heats up fast and conducts heat very well. I typically don't go over medium or medium high heat unless it's a stir fry.
Same deal as last time. Thanks OP for posting, I need to purchase these again. Had to return previous purchase because of bad shipping/handling; the products got damaged. Hope this time they'll package properly. Just imagine, they put one of these pans in a plastic shipping bag w/o any protection for delivery
