Are implying Anker charging devices may be malicious?

I bought this and am on my third one. The first one all but one port stopped working, the second one seemed like it destroyed devices ability to quick charge until you reset them....I wont even use it at my work desk anymore because i dont want to take the risk...

skipping this one, even amazon reported "frequently returned" Some customers have reported issues such as the device sliding around on surfaces, inconsistent performance, and it getting hot when under load. There have also been mentions of poor customer service experiences.

Possibly.

Why? The linked post seems to have nothing at all to do with Anker. And also this device does not come with a USB cable, while the linked thread is all about the O.MG cables for sale by Hak5.

Anker is no where to be found in this Reddit post. Why did you post it here?

I have several of these chargers. I have one on each office desk. We havent had any issues with them EXCEPT that the cord is pretty heavy. It can pull the device around. You might was to attach it to the back of a desk via velcro or a plastic/magnetic clip.

Look at the guy's reply history. It's a huge number of just.. ambiguous one liners. They make 10+ comments on SD per day and a majority of them are uninterpretable and downvoted to hell.

Honestly if I were a mod, I'd just mute this guy's account. He's not bringing value to any community he's a part of.

He seems to be very concerned with cables coming from China. I must conclude that his computers and phone are made 100% in other countries with no ICs from China.

I have one of these, works well for one laptop, can't charge both my work laptop and personal though (but that's on me not on the product). One USB C port stopped working (happened two times) and a simple unplug from wall wait a minute and plug back in fixed it... I'm happy with it, but unless you NEED it now, I'd maybe look for another product/option with a little more power delivery (if you're wanting to do multiple laptops.)

Anker support was very supportive, and had me sending the device back but mine hasn't had an issue since.

I've had one of these for about two years with no problem, for what it's worth. There's also the more-expensive A91C4 version of this if you need 100W.

I have the 100 watt version of this for the past 6 months . Made about 6 trips international and used it all over the world with an adapter plug. Works great !
