Maybe. But how hard is it to carry a power bank in your pocket? You could also just tape a power Bank to a water bottle lol
Anyone else find this issue?
However, if this finds regular usage with you versus being relegated to the back of a drawer or a landfill, given our finite resources on earth, then I'd call that a win. Can't undo what has already been manufactured.
Does everyone need this? Absolutely not. For people who need a bottle and don't have a power bank? This is a deal and provides some convenience.
these double insulated thermos needed a weighted base on the bottom due to how they are design. To achieve the result they have a metal layer, a vacuum thus no weight, and another metal layer to keep cold things cool and hot things hot, due to the vaccum between the two layers. A hermetically done seal in other words that changes the weight and center of balance equation. Not new tech we been doing thermos since the mid 1910s in industrial numbers, and the first prototype since 1892 (the vaccum flask)

so you need a weighted bottom for the thing. Some people put metal there, including heavier than normal metals like lead (see previous slick deals conversation). I find this to be stupid for it is forever risky if the outer layers are pierced, do not mess with brain damaging chemicals. Putting a lithium ion battery there is another alternative that is practical but also risky. Different type of risk.
*shrug* normal steel works, and is heavier than lithium.

Problem is, everyone whom I might get this for has already had their birthday this year. I could save them for Christmas, but I'm concerned storing them that long unused could significantly degrade battery life.

Lithium batteries are sold at their nominal voltage (3.7V), so not fully charged. This is done so that they can sit on the shelf for years without noticeably degrading. They'll be perfectly fine.
Never knew this combination existed... Still rocking my s22+, but I can get a full day out of it
The plain old S22 had the worst battery life of a modern phone that I had ever used. Lol I swear I'm not out here trying to throw shade
