Me too. Why does this keep happening?
Feet felt fine after a 20+ mile hike in Thundercross. Paid $110 for but not worth that much. Just checked the bottom of the sole and it's cracking after less than a year roughly ~100-150 miles. Got another pair for $50 but it's pink.
Before this, I had a pair of $30 New Balance that lasted almost 10 years and hundreds of miles.

Definitely would not recommend trail shoes for use on a treadmill, the lugs on trail shoes have too much grip. Not ideal for roads either, but could work.
Get shoes designed for the surface they'll be used on & you'll have a much better experience!
Also, for those asking about Saucony Peregrine vs these, I currently use peregrines for dog walks on gravel trails & I like them. I've owned 2 pairs of Salomons, 1 was a hiking shoe (Synapse) and a trail runner (I forget the model name). LOVED them both, which has me considering these even tho my Peregrines are almost new.
