I'm not a legal expert, but it was enough that I don't want an app controlled temperature probe.

Look and see if it's the same seller on Amazon and message the seller asking if they would do a partial refund to match this current promotion.
If they're different sellers, then order this one and return it sealed as the $130 one. I do it all the time since Amazon won't price match discounts/promotions made during your return window.

How's the temp accuracy and range? I'm debating jumping from my thermopro wired probes to this but I don't want to mess with my cooks and consistency

I had 4 whole chickens (spatchcocked) in my vertical Camp Chef Smoke Vault and they worked great. My flavor injected Chicken was on point! For the ambient temperature, that's always a lil tougher to know if it's a close measurement as I didn't have any other probe in there to compare. But I feel it should be close because that was the main reason I got these, to control ambient temperature. This smoker has a manual knob to control propane/flame/wood chips, so it was nice to know when it needed to be adjusted. Unlike my Traeger, this unit needs a lil more attention to temperature and smoke.

These have been on "clearance" for a little while now due to the newer version being released. One downside I find to these wireless probes, is they say thin, but they are thicker than you would expect. Newer ones are getting thinner though. These seem decent though.

I can definitely recommend! I picked up a 2 probe set about a year ago and they've been great. The app is easy to use and my cooking, in all forms (grill, smoker, oven, etc.), has been spot on. It's true that the probes seem thick but that hasn't affected the results.

I don't really recommend this for thinner cuts of meat just to note. The reading wasn't always the most accurate since the probe required full insertion for proper detection as opposed to Thermowork's probes.

I had the two probe version of this from Costco and was disappointed enough to return it.

I didn't like how the app worked, and I didn't like how little of the raw data it actually exposed to you.

I had the same experience and did the same thing. I think it was on sale for $79 or so and was not worth it at that price point. The temperature and cook times jumped all over the place and were never accurate. It was bad enough that you could not leave a cook alone without worrying about food getting burned or being under cooked.

I got the two probe set from Costco a couple Christmas ago. From the get go the probes don't like to stay paired. They loose signal deposit cooker I'm using and now the batteries are not lasting a whole pork shoulder cook. Not to mention the ambient them readings are always off but that is generally a problem with all of these probes due to surface evaporation changing the temp reading.

Is this better than the Thermopro Tempspike. I just bought 2 of those from target yesterday on sale for $49 each. $100 for 3 seems like a good deal vs the ones I got. With these, I get an extra one.

my two probe from costco goes bad every 6 to 8 months.. i've had to return them a few times but thanks to costco for keeping them in stock and an easy return policy.

so far two of the bases will no longer hold a charge. then one or the other probe will fail to hold a charge after a x months..

in the end they are still great for what it is.. I'd buy even knowing they will go bad
