Quick heads up that this boot is not ideal for summer hikes. Here's why:
  • Insulation: The key reason is that these boots feature 200 grams of PrimaLoft® insulation. This insulation is designed to provide warmth in cold weather conditions, making it too hot for summer.
  • Waterproof Technology: While waterproof, features like the TimberDry™ waterproof membrane can also reduce breathability compared to non-waterproof boots, which is not what you want in hot weather.
  • Design for Cold Weather: The product descriptions consistently highlight the Chillberg as suitable for "all cold weather conditions" and for keeping feet "warm and dry" in snow

200g of prima loft gold will make you sweat like crazy. My winter parka has 200g and 250g (various locations on it) of this insulation and I overheat above 32° F. This is NOT for warm weather. No freaking way
