And you just saw nikon z50ii at $650ish refurbished , $250 less than new. This tells how bad value it compares to other options.
You could say z5ii is the best selling FF mirrorless. But april was the release month.

Yes, Nikon has been steadily increasing market share with one hit release after another. Things were looking grim for Nikon 3-4 years ago, now they're doing much better, though cameras are a tough business.

If DJI releases their rumored mirrorless FF camera that'll hurt everyone in the industry.

Sony wasn't having almost 50% of FF share solely because zve10ii having too much value. FF is minor in mirrorless sales, FF sales share is not indicating nikon comeback. What is telling is that Z5 24-200 kit is now top again in first 2 weeks of May.

Your z8 price was 1 year ish from release with an insider coupon that has no known origin. This 30% is half a year from release, at a price that is very close to last gen used. Basically, nikon is desperate that it is tapping the liquidity of used market with refurbished products. You don't see sony doing it( or doing it in volume to be exact). Canon does it twice a year in nov and dec, less than 10 days in total.

Nikon added a lot of lenses to the refurb deal, although just 10% off so not really deals.

28-400 is $994 ($1300 new)

24-120 f4 is $781 (currently the new one is $100 off at $1000).

100-400 is $1944 (currently $400 off new at $2300).

Stay away from the lensn 24-120 mm, the worse focal lengh of Nikon , I m using Nikon 50+ yr and I know what I am talking about , unsharp, distort and very low contrast ...tried with so many generations of this nikkor focal lens and still disapointed ...wonder why they are still making these lens. z8 ís a great Nikon body !
