If you like to work on cars these tools are lifesavers.

I always make sure I have these on the ready as I will inevitably drop a bolt or fastener while working and it's much easier to use the magnet or grabber to retrieve the bolt vs. going under the car and taking off the plastic belly pan.

The magnet also helps to start some bolts and screws in tight spaces.

The mirror gives you a look in tight spots around the engine bay so you have an idea of what you're dealing with.

Mostly for auto work, but I'm sure it could come in handy if you dropped something down the sink?

The mirror broke after a month due to poor welding. I think Craftsman makes decent tools but it's not this

would be able to exchange with amazon past 30 days?

Or were you referring to lowes?

Hmm idk how we'd play our case that it failed due to defect and not to user error? but maybe if you show them it broke at the weld point or something, they'd just send you a replacement?

(trying to learn) Thanks

Why do I get the distinct feeling these are still using the same old magnets that they were using when Craftsman first started, rather than the amazingly powerful magnets available today for the barely any additional cost, if any.

Can someone give me some practical use-case scenarios for this?

Not trolling, just trying to understand in which instances I might say to myself "I have a $10 tool for exactly this situation". … and then try to recall where i stashed said tool.

I probably don't need this…

My Apple Remote fell in between the crack in my split king bed. Turns out there're some ferrous metals in there. Used a similar magnetic tool to fish from underneath the bed and continued to watch History's Mysteries.

The quality varies, but Craftsman tools have a lifetime warranty. I'd suggest that you call them....888-331-4569.

Amazon.... no (if it's outside of their return window, although if it's a week or two and you call them, they might make an exception).
Lowes....maybe (depending upon when it was purchased).
Craftsman....lifetime warranty.

Warranty was awesome back in the sears/kmart days. I had a carhartt style craftsman jacket and the zipper broke after a couple years, they let me grab a new one off the rack.

These are probably made by the same company as the Sheffield ones I bought when working for Sears for $2, plus the grabber.
