Tried it. Awesome OLED monitor, but coming from a 32" inch 16:9 … I felt it gave up too much height. I personally wasn't ready for that ultrawide leap
Bh and dell had this price recently. So unless you want to get the best buy membership this isn't too hot.
Yes, the FreeSync model (DWF) is the one that can receive firmware updates.

This monitor is wonderful. Have it for more than 9 months. Match it with a 4080 to play BF2042 with maximum settings. Got it for $700 + $300 capital one shopping credit what was used mostly on eBay gift cards.

I almost leaned toward AW3821DW, but since its my first Ultrawide I felt I'm just gonna try OLED. I bought the BB Plus for $49.99 and then bought this monitor for $799.99. HOWEVER, to offset the cost of the Plus Membership, you can get the $50 certificate in October for BB Plus and Total Plus members. So kind of effectively saving membership cost.

I also used my Chase Paypal for the 5% cashback. Hope this helps anyone deciding.

There was Geek Squad 4 year replacement that costed $120.00 in my checkout if interested. Wasn't the $150 I expected.

The option to pay with "Chase Paypal" is not available when checking out with both the BB Plus membership and the monitor. The issue is primarily due to the membership card. Checkout states this:

Other payment options are not available for orders with recurring payments.

Question is, can you buy the membership first? Will you get the $50 credit from Best Buy for future purchase? Then use Plus membership to buy the monitor with the discounted price and check out with Chase Paypal for additional savings?

I believe the $50 credit from Best Buy is only available when you also purchase something that is at least $500 along with the membership; that is, together in one transaction? If someone can clarify. Thanks.

Great deal. Really looking to cost cut for my 3080 Ti + 12700K build. I'm hoping I can find the AW3420DW (2020 34" ultrawide non-OLED version of this monitor) for $400 or under, used. Saw for $400 once on FB marketplace but it was snatched up quick.

Alternatively, instead of the 34" ultrawide, I would consider a single 32" monitor at high refresh (1440p and 144hz minimum), if people recommend it. I have a 27" right now.

I am nervous that connecting a Nintendo switch dock to a 34" ultrawide will look awful, for the occasional time I want to use the switch or another console on my PC desk. I feel a 27" or 32" at a normal resolution would look better.

Ah sorry I didn't really clarify. What you can do is pay for the membership first, since that's the way to get hte price to reflect $799.99. For the membership $49.99 I paid with my credit card, I don't think I saw an option for Paypal. Then when purchasing monitor I paid with Paypal and my Chase Freedom card (which showed 5% cash back in my Chase acct). Hope this helps.

Thanks for sharing experience. I am actually still deciding between the AW3423DWF and AW3821DW. Personally most of my content isn't inky blacks and side by side I saw both monitors, and both looked great, but I liked clarity of 38 better. Sad thing is I bought both monitors because around $800... now deciding... still....

This is incorrect. The price is $799.99 for everyone. It's the same price on Dell.com right now too.
