No one has ever paid $500 for this. Ever.
I've had the opposite experience. I've had outdoor jobs where Frigidaire fridges lasted decades outside in the shade in the south. I also own one from when I got married in 2004 that's been going strong nearly 20 years now. I will say that the rest of the kitchen set died years ago, but the fridge is still perfect.
Pass, doesn't hold enough beer for me to drown my sorrows of my football team not making the playoffs. 😩

Frigidaire appliances are for rentals. In my 60 years of experience, this is a throwaway brand. Having said this, if you can buy an extended warranty for 5 years on Walmart, it would reduce your risk substantially.

Do yourself a favor and read the reviews on Walmart. Many customers including me receive these damaged with visible dents on the door or sides or even worse. Customer service will give you 10% off or more if you persist, but they don't haul it back, it was a mess spending several hours on the phone trying to return this thing.

$500 for retail is nonsense for this fridge, and this deal is been posted like every month, I've seen it at least 4-5 times.

You've been warned.

Bought this and it works okay at level 4.5 on the temp dial. Not good for keeping in a garage during the winter unless the garage is heated.

I bought a $350 kegerator from Amazon and it came with a dent on the side of the door (can't really even see it). First they offered me a $10 credit. I was thinking 10-15% off would be fair. I think the guy thought I was making it up. Sent him a pic. Refunded me the whole thing and said keep the kegerator.

I know what you mean. I'm hit with with a double whammy... my team won't make it and half my beer freezes in this fridge yet the freezer doesn't

I got one of these about two or three weeks ago; delivery was fine, the box was very much intact. Might have had a small ding, but not even an inch deep and certainly not enough to damage the unit. It was well-packed, lots of padding/packing on the inside and the outside. The unit itself is pristine - I would not hesitate to buy another one if i needed one.

This is probably true of all fridges, but I was working on a home wiring issue and it turns out that this fridge will test for continuity across the hot/neutral prongs, which at first I thought was a problem. I looked it up and apparently this is a common thing with fridges. Just useful to know if you happen to be rewiring a circuit a few days after getting a new fridge.

I have this fridge set to 3.5-4 and it's froze my romaine lettuce, yogurt cups, and bottles of milk. Didn't matter what shelf the good was on. Also frozen droplets of ice and condensation formed on back inner wall of fridge. Should I set the level lower to 3 or 2.5?

i bought it the last time it went on sale about 3 weeks ago from black friday. ended having to return it. aside from being dented which i was ok to live with, the thermostat or capacitor wasn't working right so even at highest setting, the freezer wouldn't stay frozen and fridge would not get cold. I ended up returning it

Wait, why would you have to heat a garage to run an appliance that it's job is to cool things down? Wouldn't it just not run and work like an insulated box? Sorry, I'm in the south where our concern is very hot garages and fridges running nonstop trying to stay cold..
