BUYER BEWARE: If you happen to buy an ASUS product and you need to RMA it they will not honor it properly. Refer to Gamer Nexus/Louis Rossman about current issues with ASUS.
As another poster has said, ASUS cannot be trusted to handle product issues correctly. Their RMA process is scuffed right now.
I actually have this laptop and it runs great. I received it as a replacement for another ASUS that died. I added a 2TB drive in the second slot. I play CS2, Cyberpunk, Fallout 76, Forza ETC on this connected to a 1440p external monitor. It runs nearly as good at FHD settings as my Alienware with a 10th gen i7 and 3080 140W for a much cheaper price

thanks for posting this OP

I think there's an extra m2 slot available if you need more storage or if you're like me and just like to keep your files on a different hard drive say if you have to restore windows from a previous backup

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v1k_P-2bqUY

I think if you forward to the one minute 37 second mark or so

different model number but assuming it's the same? I know for the Asus Tuf 15 editions there was an extra m2 slot so assuming they kept that option for the 16 version? Hopefully someone who knows more can step in and confirm Smilie

there's a reddit thread here that may help too they seem also think there's a second m2 slot though one user had a rather strange experience where he had to reinstall Wini 11 completely after installing the 2nd hard drive and after that both hard drives were recognized and the laptop was okay (guessing that was just some strange one off computer being goofy doesn't happen all the time kind of thing)

I had this laptop briefly but returned because the trackpad was defective. That said, I kind of miss it. It was a really good laptop otherwise and is a great value at this price.

Regarding RMAs, there is a note in the box saying that you can go through Best Buy for warranty support. Definitely do that if something comes up.

Very very disappointing to hear how the mighty Asus has fallen, just goes to show you not every company is perfect. Asus RMA on their laptops used to be one of thee best, including advanced RMA, how the mighty have fallen.

Since it's a 1080p 165hz display you'd max it out at 165 fps with performance settings easily. Using lows textures and high view distance (what I play on) you'd easily crush 165fps. You could probably get into the mid 200 fps zone if you weren't stuck with the 165hz screen though. My 6750xt desktop gpu goes well past my 240hz 1080p screen but I refuse to pay an arm and a leg for a higher refresh rate screen.

Bought this in December I think. It's basically a backup/travel laptop for me so I haven't used it a ton but have no complaints so far.

Well built, nothing seems cheap or easy to break on it. It is not all metal but that's intentional for better drop protection to meet the Milspec rating.

Has been very quiet even under heavy load.

No problems with games so far, I just use the laptop screen and it's quite nice.

Minor gripe would be if you don't lock it into GPU or APU then it switches back and forth a lot depending what you're doing at that moment. It's supposed to do this so it isn't unexpected behavior it just annoys me when I'm switching back and forth or cycling through multiple programs and it's switching GPU/APU on the fly. I normally just lock it to one or the other when I know it will be doing it a lot and know which it will be using for most of what I'm doing so not really an issue.

One reviewer who has this gfx says its almost identical if not 1% better than a 4060.... I could not find any hard core bench marks besides god of war to really it compare it unfortunately. After hearing how bad Asus RMA has got going to wait on Asus products going forward which means I am returning my ROG Monitors back to amazon.
