I'll play -- the most expensive highest rated screwdriver has the same flaw as the dollar screwdriver in a plastic jar at checkout -- it doesn't hammer nails.

Buy the right tool for the job and you won't be disappointed.
Sigh...usual snapdragon spiel, not every single program ever created in Windows can run on this, these aren't gaming machines, your printer from 1998 might not work, blah blah blah.

I tried one of these out for a week, and if I really didn't want to have music recording software on the go I probably would have kept it. The OLED panel is simply stunning - best I've ever seen on a laptop, even at "only" 90Hz. Keyboard is great, deep travel, even if it isn't as clicky as I would like. Stayed silent for me and I could only feel a little bit of warmth. The weight is pretty close to a MacBook Air too, even though this has a much bigger screen.

Only real downsides: trackpad isn't haptic and is kinda loud (if you tap to click it isn't a problem); speakers are pretty good but definitely lack bass; and yeah, snapdragon. Look, do your research on whether programs you need will run, but I'm really bored of the "snapdragon sux" pseudo-techie argument here. Every chip has its upsides and downsides - the new Ryzens are in like 3 laptops, hard to find, and still run hot. Lunar Lake is great unless you need a multicore application ever and you're still praying that Intel stays on top of their video drivers. I still say that for many users a snapdragon machine will be just fine - I suspect people are more scared of the idea of incompatibility than are actually running into issues. Don't just trust what you hear, do some actual research: https://windowsonarm.org/
I have the exact same model and so does my brother and my daughter. None of these three have the Bluetooth lag issue. It could be a defective unit

I'm seeing OB-Excellent for $716. Even OB-Fair is $668. Still a decent deal though.

Agreed, 100%, about Snapdragom "armchair quarterbacking" from people here who've never even used one! While I've not used this Lenovo, I have two almost identical Asus Vivobook's, one with i9-13900/40GB/OLED 3K 120Hz, and one with Snapdragon X Plus/16GB/OLED 3K 120Hz, and I actually prefer using the Snapdragon one because it just feels snapper, even with just 16GB. I don't use it 100% of the time because I've decided I didn't want to use PRISM emulation (I'm sure it works, it's just a contest I'm having with myself!) so I only load native apps on it.

I will say that people keep talking gloom-and-doom about these instead of embracing them for what they are, will keep development (apps and chips) and sales down and will guarantee it will die. There weren't many apps when the first iPhone came out, yet people embraced it and the rest is history.

I had this exact model for two weeks, and it was great. Everything ran fine, never ran into a program that wouldn't run (though I admittedly don't do very much outside of web browsing). The screen is STUNNING. I only had two issues: no USB-A ports, and bluetooth audio lag. Couldn't watch any streaming without the voices being out of sync with the video. This is pretty typical with Windows laptops, however.

I gave the deal a "thumbs-up" as a current good deal, but the $500 Asus deal a couple weeks ago beat this, unless you think an Elite CPU is worth $300 more than the Plus CPU. And the Asus had a 3K 120Hz OLED screen. If you were at all interested in dipping your toes in the water here, that Asus deal was the one to beat and possibly watch for a repeat.

Yes, pretty sure it came with a 65w one, I was able to charge it from my 65w Anker.

I'll bite when these hit 400$ new. Even then the lack of Linux support is concerning. Your buying a laptop that's effectively trapped as a Microsoft device.

The 3% of Linux market share might feel trapped, but the 68% of us that run Windows don't.
