I have the taskbar set to auto-hide, no icons on the desktop, and the monitor goes to sleep automatically after five minutes.
Productivity isn't bad. You have to use the restroom and stretch your legs, grab a beverage, eat lunch. That's when it will generally do the pixel maintenance once or twice a day. I've had one of these since launch, no concern.
I will say, I also have a 4K LG C3 on my same PC and the difference for TEXT clarity is night and day better on the LG 4K.
Otherwise, I can't pick a favorite.
Because of this I HIGHLY recommend not getting an OLED for productivity unless you have a dual monitor setup. When the pixel refresh is going on you can't use the monitor. It goes on for like 5 minutes. I use dual monitors so it's never an issue. I mostly use the monitor for gaming/movies and my other panel for productivity. OLED is simply stunning. Best monitor technology by far.

I'm a bit skeptical of OLED. 90%+ of my usage is productivity, web, office, photo and video editing. I'll say it: I'm scared of burn-in! That's why I was so excited about Neo G7, with it being a mini-LED display. Can anyone offer feedback about using OLED monitors for productivity? Sure way to mess them up rather quickly? An overblown issue? If I was to go with OLED, any advice on how to prevent burn-in? (as much as possible)

This OLED monitor has auto burn in protection. Every 4 hours of screen time it asks to activate the screen pixel scrambler. That was annoying after awhile for me so I disabled the warning box that appears. But it will also do it if you turn off the monitor if the 4 hours has been activated. It will do the pixel refresh thing THEN turn off the monitor. Also if you have Windows power settings you can have the monitor enter sleep mode after X amount of minutes. it should do the burn in protection while it enters sleep. But once it enters it, you can't cancel the burn in protection.

Both monitors are great, and I'm sure no one will be disappointed with this monitor.

Don't buy oled for productivity. Simply not worth it. My pc runs 7x24 regularly.
I don't think your oled is any better than ips and va without talking about the contrast and color richness. Tons of gaming monitors have that "smooth" function
Remember to check amex for additional bonus off. Mine had 50 back on 250 spent.
Ghosting which ips suffer from while oled doesnt have this problem. Latency is also a problem with ips
